I came across your entry while doing a search for "I want to clean my basement, but I'm too afraid of mice"

Wow I have to say, I had the very same reaction a few years ago when I had a mouse, or mice, who knows at this point, in a duplex I lived in. I was so angry cause I was doing everything to get rid of it, and my neighbors and landlord made it out to be no big thing. NO BIG THING?!

Needless to say I moved and bought a house of my own a year later. All was good until November this year when I found poop, wait for it.... IN MY BEDROOM! But since it's my house I brought out the big guns to get rid of it.

And so far, so good. (knock on wood) I will never get used to them. I will never welcome them. And I will always cry when I think about it.

Thanks for sharing your story!

Ha! I knew you checked every once in a while and really, I haven't been updating often - so I threw that example in. It remains one of the craziest real life stories I've heard. Like literally CRAZY b/c she actually thought it was a nice gift.

As for the imaginary friends...well, I was really thinking more about ranting homeless people there. At least twice a week I have to wonder who the Hell someone on the sidewalk is talking to. And it's not someone with a bluetooth thingy in their ear...it's the people yelling at the wall.

So I see on fb that you added a website. I think, website? what's this website? and it leads me to this, which I knew about but had not checked recently and I am now hysterical at "giving handfuls of popcorn wrapped in tin foil as “nice” gifts," NICE! Very very nice!

Although I'm not sure there's anything wrong with having imaginary friends? I'll check with Rhonda and get back to you on that one though.

The convenient hours were what attracted me at first, too. I think I'm going to open an ING savngs account though, so I'll transfer the Commerce account into that. The real advantage Commerce has is that I'm lazy. I can't even begin to estimate how long it will take me to open another account and then transfer my current one. Just thinking about it makes me want to take a nap.

Permission granted. Link away. I'll add you to mine as well!

Great post. Unfortunately they are the banking institution that currently receives my paycheck through direct deposit, but I'm considering changing that by taking Rob's advice and opening an account with LSAC's credit union.

The only reason I went with Commerce in the first place was their extremely convenient hours and locations around here, but since I rarely need to actually go inside the building anymore, "bankers hours" has become a non-issue.

BTW, I'm compiling a blogroll on my own site (http://brianhamburg.com), and I would like your permission to link to your site.

Thanks!

Sad thing is, it actually probably only cost them $0.10 to produce that mug... you totally gave them more credit than they deserve by tacking on the extra $1.
